It has happened. I am posting food on my crafty blog.

We are eating vegetarian right now. For lots of reasons. And yah, meal time becomes creative.

We have a lentil loaf that we like to make that is pretty versatile. We sliced it, grilled it, and put it between two slices of homemade bread with mayo, cheese, greens and tomatoes. Ok the mayo isn’t organic (but yes you can get organic mayo!) and I didn’t have cheese (I can’t, it makes the nursling throw up). The dave liked it a lot.

Last night we were looking for more of a snack instead of dinner. I mentioned I was going to saute some mushrooms and throw them on some greens and suddenly I was making it up for everyone.

We get a box of organic fruit and veggies delivered to our door every week. It’s nice, and I think I finally have our box tweaked so we will actually eat everything in the box. I need to experiment with the lentil loaf more, try other beans and other flavors.

And maybe post the recipe because it rocks.

I’ve got two skeins of yarn to show off. Both have some sort of technique that I’ve never tried before. Both look fantastic!

Indigo. over 4 oz, 158 yards. It’s got 3 different wools with some shredded blue jeans and then plied with thread that was threaded (that sounds redundant) with beads and indigo dyed fabric bits (that came from Africa). The beads and shreds look awesome but were a bit of a pain. This was from a craftster swap.

Sea Beast. 4 oz of super fine merino. About 150 yards. Its a single and it’s been lightly felted so it looks happy and fluffy but will stay together.

I think I will make a horizontal scarf with the blue and maybe a mobius scarf with the teal.  Because I have a desire to make a mobius scarf. Knit in the mobius. And I’m nuts.

I finally got me a solid wheel spinning wheel. I got Louet’s s17. A DIY kit. Sweet. So with a solid wheel comes a need for decoration.
